The CEO gave a 60-minute interview to Dr Karsten Xuereb, Visiting Lecturer, Research Support Officer, Radio Producer & Presenter on the work and role of the Malta Maritime Forum over Zoom. During the interview, Kevin J Borg faced questions on salient topics on maritime transport and blue economy tourism including the climate change targets and challenges which the industry is chasing at a global level. The CEO further highlighted the MMF’s role in advancing education and professional qualifications in the industry as well as promoting maritime-related careers. Furthermore, data was presented to underline the strategic and economic importance of the maritime industry to the Islands.
The interview is intended for the purposes of open-source teaching/training materials as part of an Erasmus+ project Bluesprout as well as supplementary teaching material for the University Course delivered by the Institute of Tourism, Travel & Culture.
