The Board of Directors of MMF held a meeting with the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects to share views on current challenges and opportunities facing the maritime industry. The Hon Aaron Farrugia praised the Malta Maritime Forum and its members for the respective roles of systemic importance which they play at the economic and strategic levels. Minister Farrugia pledged his full support towards private initiative in the blue economy and declared he would stand behind the industry in seeking to consolidate further international business.
This meeting marked the first with Minister Farrugia in a series of regular meetings that take place between the incumbent government minister responsible for transport and the MMF as the representative body and interlocutor of the maritime industry.
