The Malta Maritime Forum icw the Container Traders 7 Innovators Association delivers CTIA CSC Course – Certificate to 22 students who have successfully attended the courses regarding the CONVENTION FOR SAFE CONTAINERS

The Course was intended for operational/technical staff members who are involved in container operations, shipping, handling, leasing, inspection, sales, trading, transport and depot management.

The Course was approved by the Malta Maritime Forum and is part of the MMF’s Education Portfolio. The training sessions were held at The Mediterranean Maritime Research Training Center (MMRTC).

The Course provided a background to the CSC, explaining the rules governing the standards to which all containers are subject. It consisted of a presentation introducing the CSC and the reasons for it, followed on by an explanation and analysis of CSC’s requirements and criteria.

 The Course clarified the fundamental differences between “ACEP” and “Next Inspection Date”, bringing awareness to structurally sensitive components / container safety.

The certificates were approved following a test for all the participants at the end of the course.
